I am a certified dog nerd, and proud of it! I first fell in love with dogs when I was a child, and for the longest time I wanted to be a vet. Until I volunteered at the SPCA and realized that I didn’t have the heart to deal with the all of the heartbreak that being a vet can bring. So I started hunting around for a way that I could be involved in all of the good things relating to dogs.

I qualified as a dog trainer in South Africa in 2005, and after coming to BC in 2007, discovered that you could make a career out of dog walking, and was ECSTATIC!!! I couldn’t believe my luck – earning a living by hanging out with dogs having fun all day, what could be better??? I have been a dog walker since 2008 and couldn’t ask for a better job!

On the days where I look outside and realize I have to hike in the rain AGAIN, I simply remind myself that I could quite easily be sitting in an office somewhere instead, and that perks me right up!

I am proudly owned by 2 Border Collies and a recently adopted Mini Aussie, who keep me on my toes and constantly learning on a daily basis! Apart from hanging out with them all day, I also participate in agility with Piper and Boone, and have tried Piper in sheepherding as well. I am getting Wisp started in agility as well. So my life is pleasantly full of doggy activities!
