“Pack Runners is an absolutely wonderful service.  Erin is so passionate about her love & care of the dogs.  We feel very fortunate to have someone who loves our dog as much as we do.  Sammy adores her too and always has so much fun with the pack.”

“Erin with Packrunners has been instrumental in improving our young golden retriever’s recall. Crosby loves going for his hikes with Erin and they have given him an opportunity to romp with dogs of all sizes and personalities. His listening has improved immensely with some maturing but most of the credit should go to Erin. Thanks Erin for all your continued support in raising our big dumb dumb! “

“Gilbert and I met Erin a couple months ago (late September 2009) at the dog park on McKay Avenue in Burnaby. At the time, Gilbert was the most rambunctious, happy, misbehaving, cutest little Cockapoo you’d ever want to meet. Now, thanks to Erin, he’s still rambunctious, happy and cute, but he’s not misbehaving!

Erin was at the park with her two dogs and I noticed how wonderfully well-behaved they were. Gilbert, being the friendly little fellow he is, ran over and jumped up on Erin and then barked at her dogs to get them running so he could chase them. Gilbert lives to run and chase!!

I struck up a conversation with Erin and asked her a couple questions about how to train Gilbert on the basics of being well-behaved. She also told me about herself. Her love for dogs was apparent.

Erin told me about the hiking she does with dogs, and I immediately signed up Gilbert for a trial hike. I was a little leary about Gilbert hiking off-leash since every time we opened the door at home Gilbert would run away and sometimes it would take up to an hour to catch him. However, I was also anxious for Gilbert to hike and learn to socialize. My family was also wanting Gilbert to learn how to behave, but were wondering if he might be too much for Erin to handle. We shouldn’t have worried!

Since Gilbert has been going on a weekly hike with Erin, and with some adjustments we’ve made at home, Gilbert has become a changed dog! He absolutely LOVES Erin, and jumps into

her arms when she comes to pick him up. Erin has taught Gilbert to come when he’s called, he NEVER runs away any more and, in fact, he now sits at the open door waiting for permission to go outside. We can now take him for a walk without his leash, and what a treat that is.

I can’t thank Erin enough for what she’s done for us. Gilbert truly is a changed dog, and most of that is due to Erin and her patience and guidance. Not only has she taught Gilbert how to be a “good dog”, she has taught me and the rest of the family how to be “good parents”. We were truly at our wits end with Gilbert before Erin came along.

Thank you, Erin. We love you.”

“When I moved into Vancouver from Tsawwassen, I needed to find a very reliable professional to care for my elderly dog, Sophie, who is suffering from cancer and is very frail. I could not trust just anyone.

I did a lot of investigation and received personal recommendations from others in the doggy day care field that Erin Moore was absolutely trustworthy and highly skilled.

I know that Erin takes good care of my dog because when she comes to the door, Sophie goes into paroxysms of joy! She loves to see Erin. It lets me feel secure during the day to know that she is in such capable hands.

“My boston terrier Archie and I met Erin a few months ago in her agility class. The dogs (and their owners) were all shapes and sizes with different levels of obedience training. We all (dogs and owners) had fun in the class, learned a lot and enjoyed ourselves so much that many of us enrolled in another set of classes.

Erin obviously loves animals and demonstrated good knowledge of the different breeds and their special needs. She is patient with the dogs and reassuring to their owners. She often was able to suggest different strategies for us to use with our dogs so that we all felt successful at the end of the class.

As a first time dog owner I would feel comfortable asking Erin’s advice if I had questions or concerns about my dog. I hope to take more classes with her in the future and would not hesitate to board Archie with her if the need arises. And Archie just loves her!!!”

“Dear Erin,

I have attended 2 agility classes taught by you, and wish to recommend you to any dog owner looking for classes. You have the ability to put the dog and owner completely at ease and you have a nice manner with the dogs. Your calm manner and clear instructions made the classes well run and fun for everyone. We learned so much and enjoyed ourselves in the process and generally my dog is better behaved.

I highly recommend your classes and hope we may have the opportunity to work with you again in the future.”

“I am writing this letter in regards to Erin Moore, who has been a true saviour to our family and our dog: Stryder.

We first met Erin when we signed up for Agility Class with our 1 year old, extremely hyper Australian Shepherd. This process was not easy, Stryder was overly aggressive and extremely excitable and it was very hard for him to focus on the activities with the presence of other dogs around. There were many times when my husband and I wanted to throw in the towel and quit, but Erin would not let that happen. She talked to us on many occasions and introduced us to other people who owned the same breed and it helped us to understand that his behaviour is part of the breed; we just have to learn how to filter that energy. She believed in us as owners and most importantly she loved and believed in Stryder.

Erin was able to give us the tools to work with him at home to deal with his aggressive behaviour and if it had not been for her constant support and praise, I honestly don’t know if we would still have our Stryder. We found the agility classes were great, he is a very smart dog and Erin helped us understand that this sort of thing was perfect for him. He picked up on the activities much quicker than the other dogs and was now getting exercised physically and mentally.

Stryder soon got invited to join Erin on her doggy hikes. This was the best thing that ever happened to Stryder! He was socializing with other dogs and getting these great hikes 3x a week. These hikes changed his behaviour at home and made him a much calmer dog.

Erin has been amazing; she understands dogs inside and out and loves them dearly. Her heart is especially big for the Border Collies, who require a little more patience and work than other dogs and she is extremely knowledgeable in that area. She has been a true godsend to our family and I am so grateful for having her in our life. I encourage anyone who may be thinking about hiring her to work with your much loved pet to do so, you will be much happier for it and
so will your dog!”
